Background & History

St. Clare’s Kaplong Mission Hospital

St. Clare’s Kaplong Mission Hospital is the largest Health Facility in the Catholic Diocese of Kericho. The Hospital is situated in the Sotik Sub County, Bomet County  along the Kisii – Kericho Highway at the junction to Bomet town. It was founded in 1957 by the Fransciscan Missionaries of St. Joseph and order closely associated with the Mill Hill Society.

The Hospital started as a health centre to give special attention to the poor and needy by attending to their spiritual, economic, health and intellectual health needs.It has since then developed to a level IV hospital with highly specialized and state of the art technologies. 

It provides quality and affordable health care to all. We boast of the highly qualified staff who collectively use their knowledge to treat a wide range of health issues, taking a personal touch. St. Clare’s hospital prides as the only institution in the North and South Rift with an Audiometer.

We boast of a vibrant Nursing School.
